The Method to Solve the Weak Running of Diesel Generator Set

How to deal with the obstacle of sluggish operation of diesel generator set? When the diesel generator set is working, the crankshaft does not rotate or rotates slowly, which makes it impossible for the unit to reach the self running state. This kind of obstacle is caused by low battery power, excessive ignition resistance, or poor contact surface after the moving contacts and static contacts in the electromagnetic switch are burned. The inspection methods are as follows
Check whether the battery is fully charged. Check the contact condition between the brush and the commutator. Under normal conditions, the contact surface between the bottom surface of the brush and the commutator should be more than 85%. If it does not meet the technical requirements, replace it with a new brush
Inspect whether the commutator is burnt, worn, scratched, dented, etc. If the commutator surface has a lot of dirt, clean it with diesel or gasoline. If there is serious burning, scratching, and abrasion, resulting in uneven or out of round surface, repair or replace as appropriate. When repairing, use a lathe to cut and process the commutator, and polish it with fine emery cloth
Inspect the moving contact inside the electromagnetic switch and the working surface of the two static contacts. If the moving contact and the static contact are burned, resulting in the weak operation of the ignition machine, use fine abrasive cloth to smooth the moving contact and the static contact
Some customers found that the diesel generator set was running weakly after ignition, and they identified that it was the quality problem of the unit. Originally, this was mostly caused by improper manipulation. As long as you find the cause and place of the problem and deal with it quickly, the unit will be able to recover to the previous efficient operation
